What is it and how to get it?
Digital mobile key (CMD) is a reliable tool for authenticating the identity of citizens. It enables users, both Portuguese and foreigners, to access various public and private portals, as well as digitally sign documents.
There is a site in Portugal autenticacao.gov.pt and it is intended for receiving digital mobile keys, but since we are not citizens of this country, we cannot do it online. But offline it is still possible.
Why might it be needed and how to make it?
It may be needed for logging into state portals and electronic signature of documents.
1 - log in to SNS24 to independently change the address on this portal.
2 - for authorization on some state portals. Including - (and this is probably the most important thing) - for logging into the personal office of the tax office.
3 – digital signature for the ability to sign contracts (leases, training, etc.) online.
Unfortunately, you will not be able to log in to the bank's website with this digital key.
How to get it?
To do this, you need to come to any of the authorized stores (offices), for example, Loja de Cidadão de Lisboa and ask how to get a Chave Movel Digital voucher. Have your passport and protection certificate with you. The entire registration procedure will take 5 minutes.
