How to get a certificate of residence registration in Portugal

Registration address (Atestado de residência)

There are 2 options for obtaining a residence permit in Portugal:

1) Download from the Portal das Financas site - details can be viewed in our video:

2) Obtain from the Junta de Freguesia (local housing and communal services)

Look for the junta of your area of residence on the already favorite Google Maps using the request "Junta de Freguesia + name of the district"

Go to the found address, and ask for a treasured piece of paper.

Documents to take with you: You need a passport, temporary protection, and a contract/document sent to your mailbox from the utilities with your name and address. If there is no such document, you will most likely be issued a special form document that must be signed by two neighbors (!), return to the office and get a certificate of residence.

For Ukrainians staying in the country under temporary protection, the certificate is free of charge.

How does it work?

Step 1
Booking
Reserve a convenient day and time for the consultation, and describe your question in a few paragraphs.

Step 2
Paid or free option
The first consultation with an expert (up to 30 minutes) is free. All subsequent consultations are paid for when booking a consultation slot (advance payment) according to the expert's tariff.

Step 3
Confirmation of consultation
After booking, you will receive an invitation by mail (check the "Spam" folder if the letter did not arrive in the "Inbox"). In order for the consultation to appear in your calendar and not to miss it by accident, at the specified time, open the letter with the invitation to confirm participation and click "Yes".

Step 4
Consultation call
On the specified day and time, go to the link in the calendar or in the mail. WARNING! It is necessary to enter the conference from the e-mail address to which the invitation was sent (this is the e-mail address of the account from which this consultation was booked).
